Most Curtain shops in Adelaide focus on custom made Curtains. Ready made curtains are often mass manufactured by automated machines which means the quality, flatness and look are not as good. The sizes do not match the sizes of windows which can reduce their light and insulation benefits. Often the fabric is a lower quality or seconds grade quality which explains the difference in price. In most cases a ready made curtain is obviously different visually.

Continuous Fabrics are normally wide width (2.8m to 3.2m) and manufactured in a manner that allows for no joins in most windows. Most commonly these are sheer fabrics. Non-Continuous fabrics are more traditional narrow widths (1.2m to 1.5m). They are commonly non-blockout fabrics which need to be lined.
